I chose the International Commercial Law LLM programme not only because of the excellent reputation and institutional ranking that the University of Groningen has, but also because the specialisation which is offered by the Faculty really matched with my future goal to be an international lawyer specialised in international contracts and commercial dispute settlement. My educational experience here is indeed enjoyable and has been beyond my expectations. I learn by doing and practicing, and not only by studying theory, which is important. The lecturers are experts in their fields and in several classes, I even have lectures from practicing lawyers, offering the opportunity to discuss contemporary legal issues related to our subjects. Besides the courses, there are also many cool social events offered to all LLM students thanks to the International Office. This is another aspect that I love about studying here.

Groningen is a beautiful city which is not really crowded, and provides a conducive environment for me to concentrate and focus on my studies without too much distraction. I think this would be different if studying in a bigger and more congested city. Besides, Groningen is close to everywhere so its easy to visit other cities in the Netherlands if you want to. Can I say it one more time that I really do enjoy my time here? I know for sure that what I experience and learn here at the Faculty of Law has changed me into a more skillful person, not only academically but also personally.
