When I was accepted to study at the University of Groningen, I felt special; not everybody has the chance to study in one of the top 100 universities in the world. I was amazed by the LLM programme in Global Criminal Law because of its internationality and the range of interesting subjects offered in the field of Criminal Law and Criminology. The fact of studying Criminal Law from an international perspective expanded my opportunities to work abroad and also give a different perspective to my knowledge of domestic law. The Faculty of Law at the University of Groningen is simply wonderful. The professors are highly qualified and ready to help you in any moment with whatever you need. The sessions are dynamic and the study materials are very complete and interesting. The members of the International Office are continuously offering activities for law students. I will remember fondly the International Office because when I had questions and worries about my studies, they acted like my family. Groningen offers many different cultural and social activities - every week there is something going on. Apart from the marvelous landscape and nice people, the international students can feel like they are at home here. There is no problem with the language because everybody speaks English and Dutch people are always willing to help you. I am in the last stage of my masters degree, ready to finish my thesis and looking forward to joining Law enforcement agencies. I have always worked hard on my studies and my professional career, but now, since I am going to obtain my diploma from the University of Groningen, I guess everything will be easier.
