Models for Teaching and Examination Regulations (OER)
An OER is determined for each program or group of programs at every Faculty of the University of Groningen. The department of General Administrative and Legal Affairs (ABJZ) has drawn up models for the OER.
Under Article 7.13 of the Act on Higher Education and Research (WHW), the Faculty Board has to establish Education and Examination Regulations, in short called the OER, for each program offered by the faculty or group of programs. The OER consists of subjects specified in Article 7.13 of the WHW, such as the learning outcome of the program and the validity of test results. The OER is re-determined by the Faculty Board prior to each academic year, the Faculty Board is entitled to make changes in the OER. Regarding the adoption or amendment of certain subjects in the OER, however, the prior consent of the facultycouncil is required (section 9.38 of the WHW).
