Research support
The Wubbo Ockels School supports interdisciplinary research at various levels in several different ways:
-
Support for the development of interdisciplinary research
This includes bringing people from different domains together and facilitating them in developing new ideas and knowledge, for example by organizing themed events, workshops, a knowledge bank, and a search programme to find partners and form groups. -
Facilitating the translation of ideas for interdisciplinary research into practical applications
This includes offering help in pitching research ideas towards the business world or government, for example by organizing lobby activities and sharing knowledge via social media, exhibitions, or other forms of in-person and online meetings. -
Supporting interdisciplinary projects for the acquisition and organization of funding
This includes bringing together research ideas and possible funding partners, for example by supporting research grant applications.
-
Improving the application of research results and strengthening the impact of interdisciplinary academic research
This includes bringing researchers together with people who can apply their research results to practical situations, for example by organizing symposia, drawing up an impact plan, or offering support in translating academic jargon into understandable language for a wide audience.
If you have any suggestions concerning any of the above, please get in touch with us.
