Green hydrogen is a promising technology to cope with the challenges posed by the transition to renewable energy sources. The use of the hydrogen technology calls for a redefinition of the standards on energy security and reliability of supply, redesigning of the energy value chain, development of new economic and business models as well as re-arrangements on the existing grid infrastructure. Northern Netherlands profiles itself as a world capital for the energy transition.
