dr. K.J. (Karel Jan) Alsem

At the RUG Karel Jan focuses on teaching. In his function as Professor of Applied Sciences in Marketing at Hanze UAS he is director of Research Institute Marklinq and as such involved in a wide variety of research projects, such as in Destination Branding, Health Care Marketing, Sustainable Consumer Behavior and Branding. Some of these projects are performed with colleagues from RUG such as:

• Measuring the economic developments in the 'earth quake region' Noord Groningen: monitor 2016, 2018 and 2020; project for Economic Board Groningen; co-researchers prof. Steven Brakman and prof. Harry Garretsen
• Developing an Image Monitor for Groningen, and measuring the image in 2020; project for National Program Groningen; co-researchers a.o. dr. Sierdjan Koster
