A.G. (Agha) Bayramov, Dr
Agha Bayramov is Assistant Professor at the Department of International Relations and International Organization of the University of Groningen. He teaches seminars on Energy Security and Climate Change, Political Science, History of International Relations, and International Organization. He was a research fellow in the Center for Eastern European Studies at the University of Zurich in 2022. Agha Bayramov delivered guest lectures at Harvard University's Davis Center in 2023 and the University of Zurich in 2022. Besides teaching and research, he was one of the co-organizers of the Groningen Energy Summer School (GESS) in 2015 and 2016.
His research interests are energy security, geopolitics, the Caspian Sea region, Nagorno-Karabakh, Eurasia, infrastructure, climate change. Dr. Bayramov has spent extensive time conducting field research in the Caspian Sea region.
Agha Bayramov received his PhD degree from the University of Groningen in 2020.
