Prof Dr. L.M. (Lisa) Herzog

Lisa Herzog is a Professor of Political Philosophy and Director of the Center for Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Groningen. She works on the philosophical dimensions of markets (both historically and systemically), liberalism and social justice, ethics in organizations, and the future of work. The current focus of her work is workplace democracy, professional ethics, and the role of knowledge in democracies. 

In the YAG, Lisa is particularly interested in policy questions. As an alumna of the Global Young Academy and a member of De Jonge Akademie, she has a long-standing interest in support for scholars at risk. She was, among other things, a member of the YAG working group that set up the Language Buddies program.
