Faculty of Law
At the Green Office Embassy of the Faculty of Law, we are a small yet dedicated team of students forging a union between sustainability and academic pursuits. With just six members holding five key roles, we foster a close, collaborative atmosphere where passion for ecological advocacy resonates deeply with our legal education and wider societal engagement.
Guided by our Chair and supported by the meticulous organization of our Secretary, we adeptly confront the logistical challenges of promoting green initiatives. Our Event and Project Coordinator brings innovation and structure to our events, ensuring each one leaves a lasting imprint. The dual expertise of our Activity Coordinator and Treasurer safeguards both the morale and financial wellness of our team. Expanding our impact, the Public Relations Coordinators amplify our outreach, deepening our connections within the student body and beyond the university bounds.
We take pride in organizing events like the Moot Court competitions, the Law Bookstore, second-hand textbook and clothes swaps, interactive workshops, vegan tastings, pub quizzes, movie nights and other seasonal activities. Celebrating our past successes, we hold dear to projects such as the Spring Fling Festival, a two-day festive enjoyment to commemorate Earth Day. Eager to merge academia with actionable career paths, the mandate of this year is to provide strong platforms for professional growth via networking sessions, informative lectures, panel debates and prospective podcast entries. To achieve our goals, we frequently collaborate with embassies from other faculties, student associations and anybody else who is interested!
We encourage you to combine your commitment to/for a sustainable future with your professional aspirations. To join our collective effort or to engage with our mission, please contact us at: greenambassador.law@rug.nl.
