Welcome to Teaching Academy Groningen

The Teaching Academy Groningen (TAG) is a platform to share good practices and develop knowledge to enhance interdisciplinary and innovative education at the University of Groningen. Since 2021, we have been connecting and engaging teachers who are passionate about making learning more attractive, accessible, and effective. Our annual Education Festival is the highlight of our calendar, bringing the educational community together to explore and discuss the latest innovations. The Education Festival begins with the Best Practice Award ceremony, during which we recognize and honour inspiring teaching practices.

You can get engaged in TAG in various ways: join a Community of Practice, come to our events, sign up for our newsletter, receive help with a grant application, contribute to the Education Festival, or find support for your original idea.

TAG has launched a new series of events, Lunch & Learn, Drink & Discuss. If you are interested in organizing a session with TAG's support, please fill in the request form.

Communities of Practice: what’s in it for you?

TAG supports Communities of Practice (CoPs): Blended Learning, Interdisciplinary Education, Inclusion and Diversity, Well-being of students and teachers, Research into Higher Education, and A.I. in Education. Each CoP consists of teachers representing the wider UG community. CoPs meet on a monthly or bi-monthly basis to share knowledge and teaching practices, discuss ongoing developments and new inventions, as well as discuss challenges and opportunities that members encounter in their teaching practice.

You can join a CoP to meet like-minded colleagues, bring forward your ideas or find solutions to challenges. If you would like to learn more, attend a CoP meeting, or directly join, please contact tag rug.nl.
