Equipping: Professional development of lectures

Equipping lecturers: inclusive teaching in diverse classrooms

The Equipping unit uses and is further developing the EQUiiP programme and its materials with the aim to stimulate discussions and sharing among lecturers and educational developers about inclusive teaching in diverse classrooms. These modules are organised in an interactive workshop format in which participants are invited to bring and share their teaching and learning practices.

This series of workshops consists of five modules in which you will look at course materials and design from different perspectives. The various themes are (1) Introduction to Inclusive Teaching in Diverse Classrooms; (2) Inclusive Internationalised Course Design; (3) Intercultural Group Dynamics; (4) Role of Language; and (5) Inclusive Assessment .

The content of the sessions are aligned and based on the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) EQUiiP programme. By attending at least three sessions, you are able to obtain a digital certificate as a Proof of Competence.

How can you participate in the EQUiiP programme:

Open Enrollment: Interdisciplinary focus

Register for (one or more) the five modules of the EQUiiP programme through TAG open enrollment. The modules are organised in an interactive workshop format in which participants are invited to bring and share their teaching practices across disciplines.  You can take one or more of the EQUiiP modules in any order (they will be offered once each semester).  The target audience for these sessions are teachers and educational developers interested in building on their (teaching) practices towards inclusion and diversity.

Summer/Winter schools: International focus

Register here to attend the entire EQUiiP programme in one intensive week in a summer or winter school format. The programme is for lecturers who are interested and keen to integrate inclusive teaching practices into their lessons, while sharing with and learning from fellow practitioners from across the world.

Faculty collaborations: Curriculum focus

Tailored EQUiiP sessions can also be organised in collaboration with your faculty or study programme with focus on teaching and learning in your specific study programme or disciplinary context.
