prof. dr. J.M. (Jan Marc) Berk

Jan Marc Berk (Den Haag, 1964) holds masters degrees in macroeconomics from Erasmus University Rotterdam (1987) and in financial economics from Tilburg University (1997). He received his PhD from Groningen University in 1998. He is currently professor money and banking at Groningen University, director Resolution at De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB, Dutch central bank). Previous appointments include director of Economic Policy & Research and Statistics of DNB, head of research of DNB, associate professor money and banking at Free University Amsterdam (VU) and research Fellow at the Tinbergen Institute.
