Research interests

The research of Dr. Dulce M. Morales focuses on the electrochemical conversion of renewable resources, such as water and biomass-derived compounds, into value-added chemicals and fuels. In particular, the design and evaluation of low cost, high-performance electrocatalytic materials is explored with the aim of gaining in-depth understanding on how the composition of the electrode/electrolyte interface and the operating conditions impact the electrocatalyst performance. To enhance the applicability of these electrocatalytic systems, a strong emphasis is placed on the evaluation of electrocatalysts under industry-relevant conditions.
