We are developing a coarse grained molecular dynamics model of the Gram-negative cell envelope, and the tools needed to do so. The focus will lie on the applicability of the model with respect to the development of novel antibiotics and possible techniques for delivery. The problem will be broken down in four components: The plasma membrane, the peptidoglycan layer, the outer membrane and complete cell envelope.
