Join us for a new, practical training aimed at supporting instructors on how to use AI in their educational activities. We will focus on:

  1. Helping you how to use AI with your instructional activities, workflow, assessment, increasing efficiency, etc.
  2. Recognizing both the potential and pitfalls of AI in education
  3. Interpreting AI policy of the UG for your own teaching context
  4. Becoming proficient in writing better prompts
  5. (Re)designing assessments that are more authentic and/or AI resistant or AI inclusive

Instructors who would like support on how to use AI in their educational activities

Workshop 1: Monday 4 November 2024 (1.00-4.00 p.m.)
Workshop 2: Monday 18 November 2024 (1.00-4.00 p.m.)

You need to be present during both workshops.

Physical workshops at the Zernike Campus;
Asynchronous work is available in Brightspace

Study load

Asynchronous online activities via Brightspace:
30 minutes pre-work before the first session
3-5 hours of "homework" between the sessions
Synchronous session: 6 hours

This workshop is designed for instructors who already have a basic understanding about what AI is (and is not) and how it functions. If you need to enhance your background knowledge on these topics, we recommend that you review our Edusupport pages on AI in Education or take part in the RUG Brightspace e-learning Critical AI Literacy Module prior to attending this workshop.
