Poster Prize for Roeland Broekema at ICDS2019
Departmental PhD student Roeland Broekema was awarded the poster prize at the International Celiac Disease Symposium 2019 (ICDS2019), which was held in Paris this year.
Roeland's poster on “Fine-mapping causal SNPs in Celiac Disease using SuRE-SNP” details a new high-throughput method for identifying the causal SNPs in loci previously associated with Celiac Disease via genome-wide association studies.
Roeland is currently doing his PhD research working with the celiac disease and NOCI groups in the department. His work on celiac disease in collaboration with Olivier Bakker was recently profiled on the Coeliac Disease UK website. See a copy of his poster here.
