Susan Stepney
Susan Stepney is Professor of Computer Science at the University of York, UK, where she leads the Non-Standard Computing research group.
Her current research interests include unconventional models of computation including in materio reservoir computing, bio-inspired computing, artificial life, and open-ended evolution.
She is currently Principal Investigator of the EPSRC-funded project MARCH (Magnetic Architectures for Reservoir Computing Hardware) which is using a design method incorporating simulation, novelty search, fabrication, and testing to develop novel magnetic nano-ring reservoir architectures.
