“Exploring Worldviews” Interdisciplinary Seminar Series: Winter Program
The “Exploring Worldviews” Interdisciplinary Seminar Series was launched on September 26, 2024 at the Faculty of Religion Culture and Society, University of Groningen. The aim of this monthly seminar is to create a forum dedicated to unraveling the development and influence of the concept of "worldview" in contemporary thought and society. This series brings together leading scholars to discuss how worldviews shape academic discourse, inform public policy, and influence societal debates. Through interdisciplinary dialogue, we will explore the historical roots of the concept and its impact across the globe.
During 2024 we introduced our project (video), and we had the great pleasure of talking with Michelle Sanchez about the use of "worldview" by neo-Calvinist theologians (video) and with João de Pina Cabral about the concept "worldview" in anthropology (video). We particularly enjoyed having you join us in these discussions, and we hope you will keep coming back in the next few months!
