An increasing number of organization need more knowledge about the Arctic regions. Companies like Heerema , Gasterra and Royal Haskoning are increasing their activities in the Arctic. The same holds for NGO’s like World Wildlife Fund , Greenpeace and the Netherlands Centre for Indigenous People . But also the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Dutch Embassies in Arctic Countries have Arctic specialists.

Former students from the Arctic Centre are working now as scientists, have governmental jobs, work as conservators at a musea (for instance museon in The Hague) or work for international organisations like IASC.
