Art in the skybridge
The skybridge on the first floor of the Röling Building features three large, horizontal sketches by architect Giorgio Grassi. Grassi designed the 'predecessor' of the current Röling Building and participated in the modifications made to the building in recent years.
The sketches were made in 1989 and show ideas for a 'Biblioteca pubblica', a public library. The building is shown from three different angles: the side, the 'courtyard' and the back. Nice detail: the actual Public Library in Groningen didn't turn out this way, but the building on the sketches looks a lot like the Röling Building.
