Aline Klingenberg, professor of IT-Law at the Faculty of Law, was recently appointed by the Executive Board of the University of Groningen as a member of the Temporary Committee on Student Data. In addition, she will attend two roundtable discussions of the House of Representatives during the month of May.

Temporary Committee on Student Data

The Temporary Committee on Student Data consists of Klingenberg, Ronald Stolk, Jan Riezebos, Aart Korten and chairman Rob Timmermans. The task of the committee is to oversee the use of student data and shape the governance of this data within the UG.

Roundtable discussions

Klingenberg will attend two roundtable discussions this month. On 15 May, at the invitation of the Standing Parliamentary Committee on Health, Welfare and Sport, she will attend a roundtable discussion on the Care Quality Registration Act. There she will lend her expertise on privacy and data exchange in healthcare.

On 21 May, at the invitation of the Standing Parliamentary Committee on Digital Affairs, Klingenberg will attend a discussion on the Digital Services Regulation Implementation Act. That conversation revolves around the relationship of the Digital Services Regulation Implementation Act to regulators of other privacy legislation.
