It was sometime in the early twentieth century when four librarians met at the coffee percolator in the University Library of Groningen.'There's going to be a party for the staff soon,' said the cataloguer. Brilliant' cried the cataloguer and the bibliographer in unison. 'And I know a gifted percussionist,' added the circulation clerk. No sooner said than done. In honor of Nicolaus Mulerius, the first librarian at the Groningen Academy more than four centuries ago, the brand-new musical quintet called itself the Nicolaus Mulerience Experience, and the rest is history.
Meanwhile, the four librarians and their percussionist are very much looking forward to the big Lustrum celebration. In fact, inspired by the beautiful venue, the company has decided to rehearse some contemporary "beat" numbers in addition to the familiar waltzes and foxtrots! This is going to be party time, youngsters!
