Groningen University

Prof. Dr. Linda Steg is a professor in Environmental Psychology at the University of Groningen. She studies factors influencing sustainable behaviour, the effects and acceptability of strategies aimed at promoting sustainable behaviour, and the effects of environmental conditions on behaviour and wellbeing, and how and why acting sustainably affects wellbeing.

Dr. Goda Perlaviciute is an assistant professor in Environmental Psychology at the University of Groningen. She does research on public acceptability of various energy developments, particularly focusing on the role of people’s values. She is interested in how people’s values can colour their evaluations of proposed (new) developments on many different aspects.

Dr. Nadja Contzen is a post-doc researcher in environmental psychology at the University of Groningen. Her previous research focused on behavior change in water, sanitation and hygiene in developing countries. Together with non-governmental organizations she developed and tested handwashing promotions in Ethiopia. Now, she investigates the acceptability of innovations in various sectors, particularly focusing on the interplay of emotions and moral reasoning.

Irene Maltagliati is a PhD candidate in Environmental Psychology at the University of Groningen. Her research focuses on how individual factors and institutional factors influence public evaluations of natural gas and gas innovations. She has a background in Environmental Psychology (with a focus on the human dimension of environmental problems) and Health Psychology (with a focus on fostering healthy behaviors and well-being).

Delft University of Technology

Dr. Ir. Eefje Cuppen is associate professor at the department of Mulit-Actor Systems of the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management. Her current research focuses on citizen involvement in technology governance. Thematically, she focuses on technologies relevant to sustainability transitions . She is leading a research project on responsible innovation of controversial energy technologies and she is involved in the scientific coordination of the European Foundations Award for Responsible Research and Innovation.

Dr. Ir. Udo Pesch is assistant professor at the Faculty of Techology, Policy and Management. He is affiliated to the department of Values, Technology and Innovation of the faculty of Technology, Policy and Management. His disciplinary interests include responsible innovation, science and technology studies, technology dynamics, environmental politics, public administration, and philosophy. He is currently involved in the Response project on Formal and Informal Assessment in Energy projects.

Dr. Aad Correljé is associate professor at the department of Values, Technology and Innovation. He is involved in academic research and teaching and in consulting and advising on many energy, water and transport related issues, for a variety of Dutch and foreign, public as well as private, organizations. His current research themes involve an economic/institutional approach to the analysis of public policy, regulation and private strategy development in infrastructure-bound sectors, like oil, gas, power, water supply and flooding protection.

Toyah Rodhouse is PhD candidate in the department of Multi-Actor Systems at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management. She studies the impact of public acceptance of different gas fuels and technologies on strategic project development and planning within the energy transition. Before her PhD, Toyah worked in sustainability strategy and responsible investment in the financial sector, and conducted research regarding community engagement and human rights in the oil and gas sector.
