Elsevier ‘best studies’ survey shows: in 2015 again top scores for master and bachelor program Sociology in Groningen.

The bachelor program as well as the master program sociology at the University of Groningen both ended up as second best in terms of student satisfaction of all sociology studies in the Netherlands. This is the conclusion of the 2015 edition of the annual Elsevier Magazine ‘best studies’ survey. The master program at the RUG scores above national average on all eight topics addressed in the survey, the bachelor program on six out of eight. Especially facilities are evaluated very well by the students, but students are also positive about the quality of teachers. Of all bachelor students that responded to the questionnaire, 78% is ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’ about the quality of their teachers. 70% of the master students share this opinion.

In the last three years the master program at the RUG ended up as the number one of the Netherlands in terms of student satisfaction. This year the sociology master of the Radboud University was first in this ranking, followed by the RUG. The same is true for the sociology bachelor program of the RUG, which shared the first place with Radboud University in 2013.
