How to apply

Once you've decided on the programme that you'd like to pursue, it's time to apply.

While navigating through the application process may feel like a daunting task, we have gathered everything you need for a smooth application process below.

Bachelor's programmes

Master's programmes

The Board of Admissions will decide whether you can be admitted to a master's degree programme. Find more information below.

  • Previous education. The Board of Admissions determines whether the specific contents of your previous education meet the admission requirements. Find the admission requirements per programme on the webpage of the programme.
  • Language proficiency. A sufficient proficiency in English is an admission requirement for all English-taught master's programmes. You will need to submit proof of your proficiency in English as part of the application process.
  • Selective programmes. Some programmes are selective and have a separate selection procedure.
  • Tuition fees. Find more information on tuition fees for master's programmes.

PhD programmes

Our Graduate School of Science and Engineering offers several opportunities for PhD programmes. Enrolling in a PhD programme requires you to go through several steps.

EngD programmes

Our post-master Engineering Doctorate (EngD) programmes are open to MSc graduates. You can find more information about the application process, admisson and selection procedure on the EngD website.

Please note: Students with a non-Dutch diploma applying to a bachelor's or master's programme need to pay an application fee. More information.
