Admission requirements

In general the minimum entry requirement for a master's degree programme offered by the Faculty of Science and Engineering is:

• A bachelor's degree in a corresponding field (the Admissions Board determines whether a seemingly corresponding bachelor degree does indeed match the admission requirements
• Proficiency in English, for more information see Language requirements.

An assessment of eligibility for admission cannot be given in advance. After you submit your application in Studielink, you will receive a message from Studielink stating that the University of Groningen (UG) has to verify your educational background through the Progress Portal (replacing the previous system, OAS, as per October 2023).
