Engineering PhD programmes
The PhD programmes in Engineering at the University of Groningen have an international orientation and prepare students for Engineering careers in academia or R&D. The scientific content of an Engineering PhD student’s training is embedded within the research at the Institutes that have an Engineering component. The programme regularly consists of approximately 3,5 years of research training and 0,5 year of courses and other training activities. Depending on the Faculty in which the supervisors are embedded details in the PhD trajactory might vary.
