Public engagement made easy: Collecting Fielddata for your research with custom Geo-Apps
When: 22 October 2024 12:30 - 16:30
Where: Jantina Tammes School of Digital Society, Technology and AI, House of Connections, Grote Markt 21, Groningen
Do you want to gather fielddata in meaningful interaction with the public? Look no further and come to this workshop. You will learn how to setup an easy data collecting geo-app that can return insights directly to the public. Subjects of data collection can be as broad as (un)favorite spots or areas in the city, pictures of plants or counts of animals. All data can be made meaningful by requesting textual or gradual interpretations. We help you in setting up your first no-code collection apps. Goal
We want to help researchers with easy – no code – tooling to gather fielddata. The course is about how to setup your first apps and present the results in a meaningful way.
Prerequisites
No prior knowledge is required, we only require you to think of a great subject you can use in the workshop.
