Apollo Basic Editor

The Apollo Basic course is intended for employees who create, edit and publish pages and is the sequel to the Reviewer course. The course is offered online and participants can follow it at a time appropriate to them and at their own pace.

Important: registration for the course is in consultation with the web coordinator of the faculty or department. After approval, you can handle the registration yourself.

Goal

This online course teaches you to work with the editor Apollo to create, edit, modify and publish various pages.

Successful completion of the course is a condition for obtaining editing rights as a Basic Editor/Publisher on the website.

Content

Global content of the course

Working with the Apollo Content Manager
Modify existing pages (article, news article, calendar event, content fragment)
Create and publish new pages (article, news article, calendar event, content fragment)
Layout of pages
Add hyperlinks and call-to-action buttons
Insert tables
Insert various media elements such as images, videos, fragments, caroussels and picture books
Creating overviews.

Prerequisites

A prerequisite for following this course is that you have followed the course 'Writing for the web' .

Enrollment and course fee

Important: Registration for the course is always done in consultation with the web coordinator of your faculty or service department. After approval from the web coordinator, you can complete the application using the link below.

At the starting date of the course you will receive an e-mail with an explanation and a link to the online course and practice area.
The course can be taken in Dutch or English.

Duration

You can take the course at your convenient time and at your own pace. The Basic Editor course as a whole will take one day on average.

Please note: you have 1 month to complete the course and hand in the final assignment.
