Living Labs
The Living Lab research internship is a unique feature of the Global Responsibility & Leadership programme and provides you with the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge and skills in the real world.
In a nutshell
-
a semester-long project that you complete with a partner organization in your second year
-
work on developing solutions to real-world challenges in small groups, with support from UCF and partner supervisors
-
focus on creative outputs with practical applicability on top of your academic research
➡ You work together with private and public stakeholders and learn how to translate a real-world question into a research project, carry out the research, and then translate your findings back into recommendations for the stakeholder.
➡ A win-win situation: learn how to apply your knowledge in actual, real-life contexts and develop professional skills, while your partner organization gets to work with talented young people that are able to provide insight into current questions that are important for the region, from food security to healthcare technology.
