The Centre of Energy Business and Economics Research (CEnBER) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of the University of Groningen and the University of Groningen Business School (UGBS) are pleased to announce the 2025 Energy and Climate Economics and Business Days on 25 and 26 March 2025.

Leading experts, interested practitioners, PhD candidates, alumni of both FEB and UGBS, and researchers at all career levels are invited to present and discuss innovative research on energy transition and climate policy in an economic or business context.

Call for abstracts and proposals

We invite submissions of extended abstracts of papers (or full papers) that examine energy and climate in an economic or business context, broadly defined. Extended abstracts should have a word count of 500 or more.

Contributions with different methodological backgrounds (theoretical, empirical, applied, numerical, experimental and behavioral research) are welcome. Authors at all levels are invited to submit. Submissions from PhD students and postdocs are especially welcome.

We also encourage proposals for a panel discussion on energy and climate policy (in English or Dutch).

Submissions, registration and deadlines

The deadline for the submission of papers, abstracts and panel discussion proposals is extended until 6 January 2025. Submitters will be notified of acceptance by mid-January.

The registration deadline for the conference is February 28, 2025. Please register via the registration form.
