Workshop TIGRIS project
In the beginning of March 2020 a group of representatives from 9 universities from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq visited the University of Groningen, together with a representative from the KRG Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. During the week, they followed workshops by the Tuning Academy on the Bologna Process and ECTS.
The 9 universities and the ministry are partners in the Erasmus+ Capacity Building project 'TIGRIS' (Transfer of Good Practices & Reinforcement of Internationalisation Strategies in Kurdistan). The TIGRIS Project has been awarded EU co-funding within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme “Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education”. Capacity building projects in the field of higher education support the modernisation, accessibility, and internationalisation of higher education in Partner Countries. The TIGRIS project runs for three years, from 2017-2020.
