International Day Against Racism and Discrimination

March 21 is the International Day Against Racism and Discrimination. You are invited to join an event and share your experiences!

On 21 March, the National Coordinator against Discrimination and Racism (NCDR) will tour the Netherlands to engage in discussions and listen to experiences. You can see the full agenda here and a video about the day here.

As part of this tour, the NCDR will be stopping in Zwolle to discuss the theme of “Discrimination and racism in education.” The University of Groningen therefore invites all interested students and staff to join.

Location: Poppodium Hedon (Burgemeester Drijbersingel 7), Zwolle

Language: Dutch

This event is held by the Dutch government. It is not organized by the University of Groningen.

The University of Groningen will also be meeting with the National Coordinator against Discrimination and Racism, the Minister of Education, and other universities on 26 March to discuss issues around racism and discrimination in Dutch academia.
