WANTED: Enthusiastic volunteers for science festivals in Groningen
Do you have a passion for science and want to play an active role in spreading knowledge?
We have the perfect opportunity for you! During the European Researchers' Night on Friday, September the 27th, and Zpannend Zernike on Saturday, October the 5th, we will bridge the gap between science and the public.
The European Researchers' Night, in the Forum of Groningen, is an annual event that takes place simultaneously in different places in Europe. It aims to bring science and research closer to the public by showing the visitors what research scientists work on and how it impacts our society.
Zpannend Zernike, at the House of Connections in Groningen, is a science festival for children, where they can learn about science and technology in an interactive way. From exciting experiments to fascinating demonstrations, this event offers something for everyone.
Would you also like to contribute to these festivals? As a volunteer, you will be the cheerful face at various sections and installations. You will welcome children and adults, and establish a connection between science and the wider public. In addition, you will help with practical matters, such as setting up at the beginning of the day and cleaning up at the end. You can apply for the European Researchers' Night (September 27), or Zpannend Zernike (October 5), or both, by filling out the form below. You will receive a fee of 5 euros per hour for your efforts.
Note: If you are already employed at the RUG, for example as an usher or student assistant, you are not eligible for the compensation, but you can still sign up as a volunteer.
Together we will make it an unforgettable experience! Sign up and help us make science accessible to everyone!
Fill out the registration form!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Marcella Oldenhuizing at m.r.oldenhuizing rug.nl. We would love to help you out!
