Scientific Coordinator Rudolf Agricola School Wanli Zheng participated in annual China CSC PhD Workshop in Beijing and Shanghai
From November 18 to 21 this year, Wanli Zheng participated in the annual China CSC PhD Workshop held in Beijing and Shanghai. During the workshop, Wanli Zheng conducted about 150 interviews and pre-selected potential PhD candidates.

In addition, Wanli Zheng had a meeting with Freek Jan Frerichs, Counsellor for Innovation, and Esme Cartens, Attaché Education and Science at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in China, to gain insights into the current bilateral research agreements and policies between the Netherlands and China.
Furthermore, Wanli Zheng visited Beijing Normal University, where a meeting took place with Professor Zhengwang Zhang, a globally recognized expert on bird migration.
Professor Zhang maintains close collaborations with Professor Teunis Piersma from the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Both parties expressed interest in exploring opportunities for interdisciplinary studies that integrate the science of global bird flyways with urban and regional economic development, aiming to contribute to the exploration of new governance models.
