Gosia Wlodarczyk-Biegun joins our team as assistant professor Biomaterials and Bioengineering
As of April 1st, 2023 Malgorzata (Gosia) Wlodarczyk-Biegun joined our team as Assistant Professor and Rosalind-Franklin Fellow Biomaterials and Bioengineering. Gosia is trained in psychology and biomedical engineering. In her interdisciplinary career, she worked where physics, chemistry, biology, and medicine meet. During a postdoc in Saarbrucken, she established a 3D printing lab and built-up expertise in additive manufacturing and the development of novel soft printable biomaterials. In her independent career, she is focusing on new frontiers in 3D (bio)printing and complex material systems resembling structural, biological, and mechanical properties of native tissues to build up accurate in vitro models and tissue engineering constructs. Gosia’s position is designed to strengthen the Zernike Institute’s ties with the engineering and medical department with respect to research and teaching. Welcome Gosia!
