New Dean of Graduate Studies

The Board of the University has appointed Prof. Dr. Petra Rudolf as Dean of Graduate Studies UG. Rudolf, Professor of Experimental Solid State Physics at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, has started in March with the new job. She followed Prof. Dr. Lou de Leij who held the position since 2009.
The Dean of Graduate Studies, together with the ten faculty Graduate Schools, is responsible for the quality of training and supervision of all PhD and research master degree students. Rudolf will be committed to a training in a stimulating and diverse environment. Following her predecessor, she will pay special attention to the mental health of PhD students, the training of supervisors, and the preparation for a career after the PhD.
