Prof. Maxim Mostovoy elected Fellow of the American Physical Society for "seminal contributions to the understanding of ferroelectric magnets as well as topological defects in multiferroics."

On October 12th, 2017 the American Physical Society (APS) announced that Prof. Maxim Mostovoy of the Theory of Condensed Matter group of the Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials was elected APS fellow. Mostovoy was nominated by the Division of Condensed Matter Physics for his seminal contributions to the understanding of ferroelectric magnets as well as topological defects in multiferroics. Mostovoy is the only NL-based scientist elected this year and the fifth APS fellow within the Zernike Institute.
