Protesescu group

The research interests of the group are novel colloidal nano-materials, their surface and interface. The interactions of nano-objects with different functionalities (e.g. quantum dots and organic conductive materials) will be engineered and studied. Our main focus is to develop synthetic strategies for nanomaterial heterostructures and to study their structural particularities, their surface chemistry and applications. The proposed colloidal nanocrystals (NCs) will be specially designed and studied for their physical properties such as optical characteristics, conductivity, magnetism, ultra-high temperature ceramics or bio-physics.
