Dr. B.C. (Björn) Mitzinneck

Dr. Björn Mitzinneck is an Associate Professor in the Department of Innovation Management and Strategy at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). Before joining the University of Groningen, he completed his PhD at Cornell University, USA and his research master's at Cambridge University, UK. Björn’s research focuses on organizational challenges in sustainability transitions, generating knowledge on how we can stimulate, manage, and organize necessary change. As a scientist committed to addressing societal challenges, he believes in interdisciplinary collaboration to effectively tackle the pressing sustainability issues of our time.

In the Young Academy Groningen, Björn works to advance interdisciplinarity and keep the University of Groningen (UG) a welcoming intellectual home for early career researchers. Having experienced the university as an inclusive community of scholars, he wants to pay it forward and contribute to keeping the UG an internationally competitive, attractive destination for scientific talent.
