CODYCES: Complex Dynamical Networks: From Data to Connectivity Structure
The research project deals with identifying the connectivity structure of a complex network of dynamical systems on the basis of available observation data. By a complex network of dynamical systems, we mean a large collection of dynamical systems that communicate and/or interact with each other. Often the dynamics of individual systems are known while the underlying connectivity structure (network topology) is hard to determine or observe directly. In addition, observing/measuring the behavior of each individual system is infeasible due to the complexity of the system. Within this project, we aim at developing methods and algorithms to infer the connectivity structure of a complex network of dynamical systems on the basis of observed data obtained from a fraction of systems.
