VENI award for Pim Frederix
The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) has awarded a VENI grant to Dr Pim Frederix to allow him to study peptide self-assembly using molecular dynamics simulations. He wants to discover new biomaterials among these assemblies with applications in food technology and biomedicine in mind.
The Veni grant is awarded to outstanding young researchers. It consists of a 250 000 euro scholarship which enables young scientists to conduct independent research and develop their ideas for a period of three years.
