Machine Learning
The machine learning group (ML) envisions creating an educational and research environment for students and researchers focused on developing the next generation of artificial agents in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, theory of mind, cooperative and social intelligence.
These advanced artificial agents are not only individually intelligent but also possess collective and social intelligence acquired through interactions with other artificial agents, humans, organizations, and ecosystems. We delve into the latest innovations in modern machine-learning technologies, including foundation models, deep self-supervised and supervised learning, pattern recognition, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning.
Our objective is to collaborate with our industrial partners in creating artificial agents capable of addressing real-world issues, ultimately transforming industries such as self-driving vehicles and smart buildings, improving people's lives through AI-driven healthcare and personal assistants, quantifying and deepening our understand of historical manuscripts and cultural heritage, and making meaningful positive contributions to humanity.
