Title: The Contribution of Energy Storage and Super Grid to Energy Security in the EU.
Summary:
The energy transition to renewable energies is necessary and an on-going process to reach the low-carbon future, as it being drawn in Kyoto Protocol (1997) and the Paris Agreement (2015). However, due to the changing of the fuel types, the condition of energy supply, power generation, transport and storage are all transited; therefore, the new energy security issue appears during this transition. This research focuses on the possible power security issue in the EU in the trend of substitution by renewable energies, examines the contribution of energy storage and super grid in the energy transition.
