Introducing our new scientific staff member Daniele Parisi
On September 1, dr. Daniele Parisi started as a tenure-track assistant professor at ENTEG. His research line on rheology of hybrid and supramolecular materials is part of the Product Technology group chaired by Prof. dr. F. Picchioni. The position is funded by the Sectorplan Engineering.
Daniele Parisi holds a PhD in Materials Science and Technology (2019) attained at the University of Crete within the Marie Skłodowska Curie training network COLLDENSE (Colloids of Designed Response). He owns a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering achieved at the University of Palermo (Italy) in 2015. Daniele was a postdoctoral researcher in both Materials Science and Engineering Department of the Pennsylvania State University (PSU) under the supervision of Prof. Ralph. H. Colby, and subsequently at the Foundation for Research and Technology in Greece (FORTH - Hellas) under the guidance of Prof. Dimitris Vlassopoulos.
Daniele Parisi is a Soft Matter experimentalist, with extensive knowledge of rheology, rheometry, and link between molecular structure, processing and ultimate mechanical properties of polymers and colloids. His current research interests focus on the use of supramolecular, and associative polymers to design materials with superior recycling, self-healing and tunable properties for medical and engineering applications. Bringing forward the knowledge of green polymers as substitutes of synthetic ones, as well as optimizing the unit operations in the polymer industry, also represent part of his research interests.
Welcome at ENTEG Daniele!
