Dr. Rob Duchateau appointed honorary professor at ENTEG
ENTEG is proud to announce that Dr. Rob Duchateau is appointed as honorary professor of Functional Polymers. He is embedded in the Product Technology-group of Prof. Francesco Picchioni of ENTEG. His appointment will focus primarily on strengthening the institute’s research capacity in functional polymers and their role in a circular economy, and more general in intensifying industrial collaborations of ENTEG and the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Rob Duchateau will also give lectures to improve students’ insights in the interests of industry.
About Rob Duchateau
Rob Duchateau has received his Ph.D. degree in Organic and Molecular Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Groningen in 1995. After his Ph.D. he had postdoctoral positions at the University of Leeds (UK) and the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). From 2001 until 2011 he became Assistant and later Associate Professor at the TU/e in the Polymer Chemistry group (Prof. Dr. Cor Koning) were he led the sub-group “metal-mediated catalytic polymerizations”. Since 2011 he is employed at SABIC Europe in Geleen as Chief Scientist focusing on polyolefin modification strategies.
Rob Duchateau is an expert in the field of functional polymers and particularly as derived from polyolefin modification. His expertise complements nicely with the on-going research activities within the Faculty.
We warmly welcome Rob Duchateau in our institute and look forward collaborating with him.
