Geometry and its Applications
Broadly understood, geometry has ramifications in most fields of science, from the topological properties of cosmic mass distribution to the fundamental structure of matter. The study of the geometry of random structures has increased tremendously in importance due to the growing pervasiveness of highly connected and fast evolving social and biological networks, and the role they play in phenomena such as the spread of news and epidemics. Apart from these (and other, e.g., in data security and storage) applications, lots of fundamental geometric theory is still developed; often but not exclusively motivated by relations with other areas of science. > read more.
