Title: AI for automatic perception, decision and action in artificial vision, cognitive robotics, autonomous navigation and digital medicine
Abstract:
In the colloquium, the research activities conducted in the dynamic field of artificial intelligence at the Mivia Lab, University of Salerno, Italy, will be described. The presentation will explore the contributions in various key areas, including artificial vision, cognitive robotics, autonomous navigation, and digital medicine. The talk will delve into how our work in artificial vision is pushing the boundaries of image and video analysis, enabling more intelligent systems for real-world applications. In cognitive robotics, the lab focuses on developing robots that can perceive, learn, and interact with their environment in increasingly sophisticated ways. Our research on autonomous navigation, done on our Mivia Car, is aimed at creating AI systems capable of making real-time decisions for self-driving vehicles and other autonomous platforms. Additionally, our efforts and degree in digital medicine, where AI is being applied to enhance diagnostics, personalized treatment plans, and patient care, will be described.
