Title: Secure multi-party computation & applications
Abstract:
We will revisit secure multi-party computation in the context of a recently completed cooperative project between two healthcare organisations and the Netherlands organisation for applied scientific research, TNO. The lecture will treat the Paillier cryptosystem, its use in the case, and an alternative key generation protocol using Shamir’s secret sharing that leads to a secret-shared private key. We’ll also discuss some other recent opportunities to apply SMPC techniques to current issues.
