SDWG

The Netherlands is one of the observer countries that is active in the SDWG. The Dutch representatives of SDWG are Sean Desjardins and Annette Scheepstra

Sean Desjardins supports the work of the SDWG with his interdisciplinary research to understand the differences between Western-scientific understandings of stustainability/conservation, and time-honored Inuit traditional knowledge about environmental heath and human/nonhuman animal relations.

Annette Scheepstra supports the work of the SDWG with her work in the co-create collaborative, a collaborative of like-minded Indigenous and non-indigenous partners focused on fostering co-creation in the Arctic.
